If you're anything like us, the undertaking of any new project invariably involves a trip to Amazon to buy any and all relevant books on the subject.
To save you some time, we've listed some suggestions you might find helpful.

First on the list is
the Havanese. Although a lot of the information on the dangers of puppy mill and pet shop dogs, as well as chondrodysplasia and its associated health issues really do not apply to the Silk (which is free of chondrodysplasia by definition), the book includes pretty much everything you need to know about preparing your home and getting your puppy off to a good start. If you only buy one book, it probably should be this one. (In fact, if you buy a puppy from us, it's pretty much a requirement!)

All are available from
www.Amazon.com .

Everything You Need To Know About Men...You Can Learn From Dogs
by Diane Klumb

Men and dogs are both descended from pack-hunting predators, and both come with their "pack status personalities" as preinstalled hardware, sort of like Windows. Understanding this makes them both a lot easier to live with. (Nine out of every ten women who read this book learn that their first husband was a Perpetual Puppy.)

Mother Knows Best

How To Housebreak Your Dog in 7 Days (Revised)
by Shirlee Kalstone
A slim little book written years ago, this is the #1 best-selling dog book on Amazon -- and with  good reason. No magic formulas, but a lot of time-honored common sense. And it works....read the reviews.
